Initial Concept
Australian-designed, Scandinavian-inspired, artisan crafted - and all from sustainable American forests. Made from high-quality American timber, the initial concept of the Arne Chest of Drawers was a beautiful, generational piece of furniture in the style of Scandi furniture but designed and crafted to make a house a home and built to last.
Additionally, the Arne Chest of Drawers was designed to fit into the Icon By Design Arne furniture family which includes bedside tables, tallboys, entertainment unit and cabinet.
Sourcing of Materials
We work hard to ensure that we’re always producing sustainable furniture. For example, the timber which makes up the bulk of the Arne Chest of Drawers is sourced from American forests which embrace sustainable principles - meaning the timber is sustainably harvested, works to restore the ecosystem, implements a replanting process, undertakes consistent environmental monitoring, and respects the land rights of indigenous peoples.

The beauty of the Arne Chest of Drawers is its simplicity and ability to work with a range of statement pieces of furniture to create a stylish bedroom. The Arne Chest of Drawers works perfectly with the Bruno Bed Frame and Arne Vodder Bedside Tables to form the basis of a Scandi-inspired space to relax and rejuvenate in. Once your furniture is in place all that is left to do is to add soft furnishings, textures and accessories to complete the look.
Bruno Bed Frame
Create a space that encourages rest and relaxation by pairing the Arne Chest of Drawers with a Bruno Bed Frame.
The Bruno oak bed frames are available in single, king single, double, queen and king sizes. For these Scandi-inspired bed frames solid oak is used everywhere on the headboard except for the square panels which are a combination of solid pine and oak veneer. This makes for a stronger and more durable piece of furniture with the ability to last for generations.
The Bruno walnut bed frames are also available in queen and king sizes. The side and end panels are a combination of solid pine and walnut veneer and the frame at the end of the bed is solid walnut.
Arne Vodder Bedside Table
The Arne Vodder Bedside Table can then be used to finish styling your Scandi-inspired bedroom. Available in a beautifully designed and crafted 2 drawer configuration, in solid oak or walnut, the legs can be angled or straight in order to make the best use of the available space.
Solid Timber is used everywhere on this item, except the rear panel which is veneered to match the frame. The use of solid timber ensures that this piece of furniture is more robust than a traditional veneered product.
